Intuit’s August/September line is now a roster, not a slogan: Accounting, Payments, Finance, Customer, Sales Tax, Payroll, and a beta Business Tax agent under Intuit Intelligence. Books Upkeep on Advanced runs high-confidence posts all month and leaves exceptions. The official Claude and ChatGPT connector will draft an invoice from a chat window. It still posts in QuickBooks. Name the reviewer. Do not buy a second bank feed because the agent is chatty.

Xero is in the same pattern after Xerocon US. JAX auto-reconciles high-confidence lines and shows why. Smart Document Capture is Hubdoc with a new badge. Bill Protection and Cash Flow Actions are beta. Partner Hub’s books-to-tax board is October. JAX inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT is a window on the same ledger. Two capture inboxes on one mailbox is still how a bill posts twice.

Puzzle’s founder ledger stays for startups. Accrual is buying the firm motion — CAS, close, the practice-OS story — after launching in February with serious money. If your books are on Puzzle, stay on Puzzle. If you are a firm, that headline is practice software, not a cue to run Stripe in two general ledgers.

Pilot’s Meridian will close a client file and hand you review-ready statements. Basis will run firm work on top of the file. Rillet is a unicorn replacing NetSuite for some mid-market teams. None of that is a second Plaid feed.

Sage Intacct’s Finance Intelligence Agent is still a phased early-adopter toggle. NetSuite 2026.2 puts Ask Oracle in the NetSuite you already run; Autonomous Close keeps the period warm. A controller still signs.
